Gloucestershire police Tweeted a picture of the tree saying: "Not your traditional Xmas Tree! Two arrested in Cheltenham on suspicion of cannabis cultivation."
The house in Gloucester Street, Cheltenham was searched on Wednesday and a man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
Both have been bailed until February 8 2017 pending further enquiries.
